
ABOUT US
The New Zealand China Association for Promotion of Economy and Science (the Association) is a joint organisation of people from a number of sectors including business, science and technology, culture, education, health and industry management.
In October 1999, under the initiative of renowned scientist Professor Yihuai Gao and former New Zealand parliamentarians, the Association was formally established. Over the past two decades, the Association has facilitated numerous exchanges and cooperative ventures between the governments, businesses and institutions of both countries. It has hosted delegations from various Chinese provinces and cities including Yunnan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Fujian and Shandong.
The Association aims to leverage each member's resources and networks within their industries to promote bilateral exchange and mutually beneficial cooperation between New Zealand and China in the areas of science, technology and economic development.
