Wei Gao Executive President

Wei Gao, a Chinese New Zealander, holds an EMBA (Executive Master of Business Administration) from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. He has been recognized as an Outstanding Entrepreneur of Fujian Province and named a Top-Level Business Executive in the Ningde City Special Talent Program.

After graduating from university in 1995, he immigrated to New Zealand. In 1998, he began developing and promoting biotechnology-based health products, co-founding Alpha Group International Holdings, where he was appointed Executive Director and President. In 2005, he returned to China to start a business and founded Alpha (Fujian) Biotech Co., Ltd., where he also serves as President. Under his leadership, the company has established over 1,000 franchise stores across China, with a sales network covering all 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions. The international marketing network has expanded into three major regions: New Zealand & Australia, Greater China, and Southeast Asia, forming a global market strategy of “Originating in New Zealand, Rooted in China, and Expanding to the World.”

In 2017, in response to the growing global problem of air pollution and related health issues, he established Healthy Breathing Technology Ltd. in New Zealand. The company develops high-tech protective products to help protect people from smog and airborne diseases.

In 2020, aligned with Alpha Group's strategic direction of “Medicine, Health, and Nutrition,” he founded Alpha Herbal (Fujian) Technology Co., Ltd., a science-driven company specializing in modern Chinese medicine research, extraction and preparation, quality control innovation, and integrated wellness and medical care. The company is planning to build a world-class R&D headquarters and intelligent production line for Chinese herbal granules, aiming to become Fujian’s first modern R&D and production enterprise for standardized TCM granules.

To promote the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine, his team pioneered a new model combining TCM clinic chains and internet hospitals. In July 2021, Ningde Dongqiao Alpha Herbal TCM Clinic was established, followed by the Chengdu Shuangliu Alpha Herbal Internet Hospital in December 2022. To date, the initiative has authorized 165 TCM clinics nationwide, promoting 73 classical Chinese medicine formulas.
