Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology delegation visits New Zealand, opening a new chapter in China-New Zealand scientific and technological cooperation

On November 25, 2024, Xu Chunsheng, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology, led a delegation to visit New Zealand and was warmly received by Xu Dingyi, Executive Vice President of the New Zealand-China Science and Technology Economic Promotion Association.

At the invitation of Ms. Chen Xiaoyan, director of Anfa International, the delegation visited Anfa International, a Chinese biotechnology company in New Zealand. During the visit, Vice Chairman Xu Chunsheng had an in-depth discussion with the core members of the Promotion Association. He highly praised the positive contributions made by the Promotion Association under the leadership of Professor Gao Yihuai to strengthen the scientific and technological and economic exchanges and development between China and New Zealand.

At the forum, the two sides conducted extensive and in-depth discussions on the science and technology and economy of the two countries, and expressed a strong desire to further promote in-depth exchanges and friendly exchanges in science and technology and economy between New Zealand and China. Li Feifei, Chairman of Lianyungang Association for Science and Technology, and Lu Jun, Vice Chairman of Wuxi Association for Science and Technology, respectively introduced the economic development of Lianyungang and Wuxi, focusing on the advantages of local key pillar industries such as biomedicine, integrated circuits, and new materials, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy and science and technology.

Also attending the symposium were: Director Wang Yan of Jiangsu Science Popularization Service Center, Ms. Liao Xiaoxue, Vice President and Secretary General of New Zealand-China Science and Technology Economic Promotion Association, Mr. Huang Shaolin, Vice President of New Zealand-China Science and Technology Economic Promotion Association and General Manager of Anfa International, and Chen Fuxiang, President of New Zealand Fujian Chamber of Commerce. They all witnessed a new chapter of friendly cooperation and exchanges between Jiangsu and New Zealand.

This visit not only deepened the mutual understanding, but also created more opportunities for future cooperation. We look forward to more fruitful results in the fields of science, technology and economy between Singapore and China.
