On the afternoon of April 23, 2024, New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Luxon had a cordial meeting and exchanged views with Mr. Xu Li, President of the New Zealand Chinese Construction Industry Association and Vice President of the New Zealand-China Science and Technology Economic Promotion Association, in the capital Wellington. This meeting demonstrated the influence of the new generation of Chinese immigrants in New Zealand and played a positive role in strengthening the close ties between the New Zealand government and the Chinese.

Prime Minister Luxon spoke about the progress the Government has made since its election, the future direction of its policies and the important role that businesses need to play in helping to develop solutions to the challenges facing the country. The Prime Minister also arranged time to meet with other business leaders to further communicate and interact with them and answer their questions one by one.
